Each WordPress training class is scheduled for one hour. Everything that is scheduled to be taught for that session is contained within that time block, start to finish.
Remember that we offer two types of WordPress training: individualized lessons and structured training. There are differences between the two.
In the individualized lessons you get training on a particular topic for one hour. You can schedule as many individual lessons as your time and budget allows.
For structured training, you get five one hour classes that cover a wealth of topics. Structured training gives you a thorough overview of WordPress that allows you to continue using WordPress on your own, comfortably. You can always add individual lessons afterwards to supplement your learning.
MyBlogMyWorld teaches WordPress in a structured way so that you learn quickly, saving you both time and money. Most clients find themselves suitably equipped after taking the Basic and Advanced classes. However, we can create a customized extended course if the client requests something more in-depth. Just ask us.
MyBlogMyWorld offers one-on-one training so that the learning is immersive and personal. We’re native New Yorkers who love people, but a third person dilutes the effectiveness of the session.
We don’t want your friend to feel left out. Have them contact us and order classes for themselves so that they can have a great blog, too!
Classes are held in beautiful New York City—currently within Brooklyn and Manhattan. We typically meet casually in cafés, public spaces, your office, anywhere! We’re mobile: all we require is an Internet connection and a few seats. Bring your laptop or iPad and we’ll get to work :)
This is New York City: lateness is an unfortunate by-product of our busy lives. Still, we ask that you prepare as best as possible and allow for additional travel time to class. All classes are expected to begin and end on time, as your fellow New Yorkers are also depending on us to teach them a thing or two about WordPress. (We’re really enthhusiastic about teaching WordPress and look forward to each class that we teach.)
We allow for a 15-minute lateness grace period. Being late for class means that you’ll miss some of the day’s training, and classes do not go over the scheduled time, so do your best to be prompt. If you don’t arrive within the grace period we’ll sadly have to leave and cancel class for the day.
Not showing up for class is a no-no. We understand that issues arise, so please make every effort to get in touch with us in advance if you cannot make the class. With enough notice we may be able to schedule an alternate date. Cancelled classes and missed classes are non-refundable (OK, once and maybe we’ll wink at it…).
Of course! That’s what MyBlogMyWorld is here for. We’ll get you up and running before you can say “dociousaliexpilisticfragicalirupus” (that’s just saying “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” backwards…).
We offer everything that you’ll need to get online: domain name registration, web hosting, WordPress themes, stock photography, training, and more.
Head over to our How to Order page and take a look around. Just let us know what you want and we’ll handle the rest. It’s as easy as ask, order, and pay (you get the point).
Once you submit your order, your website and blog can be live within a few days (weekends and holidays not included). We go to work on your order immediately and complete it according to spec so that you are 100% satisfied.
If, on the other hand, you request extensive modifications or additions, expect the turnaround time to increase in relation to the requests.
Yes. We are more than happy to use your artwork. You can send us the pictures, graphics, logos, or movies that you’d like to include in your website or blog. Just make sure that you have the rights to use the artwork, because the big, bad Internet police may pay you a visit and take your website away…
